• Upgrading to VCS v4.001 must be done offline (all host I/O halted). The online upgrade option
is not supported for VCS v4.001 upgrades.
Licensing information
VCS v4.001 requires installation of new licenses as follows:
• HP StorageWor
ks Command View EVA is licensed separately. Acceptance of the license
agreement dis
played during installation is the only licensing requirement for HP Command
View EVA.
• HP Business Copy EVA license to use (LT U) activates the local replication (snapshot and snapclone)
functionali
ty and is licensed by capacity. HP Business Copy licenses purchased for use with VCS
3.x will work with VCS v4.001. For licensing information, see the HP StorageWorks Business

• HP Continuous Access EVA license to use (LTU) activates the remote replication functionality
