Disk Resource Pe

If the disk reso

To view and set the Pending Timeout parameter:
1. Open the Microsoft Cluster Administrator.
2. Select a disk group resource in the left pane.
3. Right click e
ach disk resource in right pane, one at a time, and select Properties.
4. Select the Ad
vanced tab from the Properties menu.
5. Locate the Pending Timeout value and change it to 360.
6. Click OK.
Reserving adequate free space
To ensure efcient storage system operation, a certain am ount of unallocated capacity, or free space,
should be reserved in each disk group. The recommended am ount of free space is inuenced by your
system conguration. For guidance on how much free space to reserve, refer to the HP StorageWorks
Enterprise Virtual Arr a y conguration best practices white paper, which can be d ownloaded from the

HP Bus
iness Copy EVA licensing
HP Bus
iness Copy refers to the snapshot and snapclone replication features of HP StorageWorks arrays.
You c
an use HP Command View EVA, or host platform interfaces to specify the virtual disks (LUNs) to
replicate. You must acquire and install a replication license key for each array that is to support HP
Business Copy EVA replication.
With
HP Replication Solutions Manager (RSM), you can automate the replication of virtual disks using
jobs
. By installing RSM host agents, you can also perform replica tion by specifying host volumes and
log
ical volumes. With host agents, you can also: suspend/resume application I/O, mount/unmount
vol
umes, and launch backup applications. The RSM host agent command line interface supports
interaction between HP Business Copy EVA jobs and host scripts.
