Description
This document contains the most recent product information for an EVA running VCS 3.110. This
information applies to both the EVA5000 (HSV110) and EVA3000 (HSV100) products.
NOTE:
Much of the information included here is not documented elsewhere, so it is recommended that you
read this information thoroughly before installing and operating the EVA3000/5000.

Enhancements
VCS 3.110 provides the following new features and enhancements:
• Added the ability to upgrade disk drives while the drives remain online and grouped.
• Added new versions of hard disk drive firmware. See Supported disks.
• Added the ability to perform customer self upgrades.
• VCS 3.1x0 is SCSI-3 compliant.
NOTE:
HP StorageWorks Command View EVA 5.x or 6.x is required to access the new features and
functionality in VCS 3.110. Information on HP Command View EVA is available on the following

• VMware ESX/GSX/WSX 2.5.2, 2.5.3, 2.5.4, 3.0.0, 3.0.1
• OpenVMS 8.2-1 (IA64), 8.3 (IA64 & Alpha servers)
• Novell Netware 6.5 with SP4 and SP5
