NOTE:
The recommended SRM version is 7.3. The minimum SRM version is 6.9.

2. Enter the following command after the CD boots and the UPD prompt appears:
UPD>List
The list command checks the current versions aga inst the new versions of fi rmware.
3. Enter the following command to update the firmware versions:
UPD>Update pg*
4. Enter the following command to verify tha t the adapter and SRM firmware are updated:
UPD>List
Checking the Tru64 UNIX driver version
The FCA device driver for Tru64 UNIX ( emx) is installed as part of the operating system. The patch kit
updates the driver to the latest revision. HP recommends that you check the version to ensure compatibility
with the Enterprise Virtual Array. To check for supported versions, see the HP StorageWorks 3000/5000

As your system starts, startup information i s logged in a file called messages where, among m any other
items, the version of the installed FCA drivers and FW are recorded. Use the following procedure
to ensure you have the latest version:
1. View the messages file by entering the following command:
# more /var/adm/messages |grep wwn
2. Inspect the latest entry line for KG PSA (the F CA name) as shown in the following example:

3. Ensure that you h ave the correct driver revision for the operating system:
• F or T r u64 UNIX 5.1A, driver version 2.11 or later.
• For Tru64 UN IX 5.1B, driver version 2.17 or later.
NOTE:
If you need to update the driver, install the latest patch kit for your operating system.
