4. Select one of the following options:
o Apply—To save the changes and continue to work in the View Options window
o OK—To save the changes and close the View Options window
o Close—To close the window without saving the changes
Locating objects
The location field describes where the objects are physically located in the data center. This information is
especially helpful for sensors placed under racks or the subfloor. The location field is optional and only
appears if configured. If specified, the location appears in the HP Insight Environmental Observer
interface.
Validating the configuration before export
To validate all aspects of your configuration before the system database is updated, you can perform a
pre-export validation:
1. Select Export>Pre-export validation.
