SNMP versions

When creating your SNMP data source, select the SNMP version that correlates to the type of SNMP

device you have in your data center. For example, if you have a SNMPv2 device in your data center,

then create a SNMPv2 data source. If your device supports more than one version of SNMP, then choose

one of the supported versions in the Configurator interface:

• SNMP V1—Original SNMP protocol

• SNMP V2c—Added performance, security, confidentiality, and community communication.

• SNMP V3—Current standard protocol

You must create and configure different SNMP data sources for each version of SNMP. An SNMP data

source can contain all SNMP devices that use the same version of SNMP.
