Select the network you want to configure.

c. Specify the response timeout in seconds. The response timeout is the maximum amount of time

the Application server expects the Modbus device to respond to a request. The default value is

3000.

NOTE: In the value string, be careful to follow these recommendations:

• Start each IP address with TCP:.

• Separate each IP address with a comma.

• Do not leave any empty spaces.

d. Specify the gateway IP addresses for the network. The IP Address of the Modbus/TCP Network

must match the IP address of the Modbus gateway device.

— For a single gateway, the format is TCP:111.222.333.444, replacing the numbers with the

actual IP address.

— For multiple gateways, the format is TCP:111.222.333.444,TCP:555.666.777.888,

replacing the numbers with the actual IP addresses.

Creating an SNMP data source

An SNMP data source is a network that communicates over the SNMP wired plug-in protocol. The

information gathered from the SNMP system is only used to calculate PUE data, and does not appear in

the Observer web interface.
