3. Click Control Panel>Performance and Maintenance>Administrative Tools>Services to view Windows
services to be sure that the MySQL service is running on the database server.
4. Scroll down the list to be sure that the HP Insight Environmental services are running.
5. Connect the Ethernet gateways to the network to which the server is connected.
6. Plug in the Ethernet gateway and any supporting software.
7. Export the project from the HP Insight Environmental configuration software.
8. Click Start>Programs>HP Insight Environmental>HP Insight Environmental Device Manager>Start
Service to be sure that the device manager on the server is running. All gateways and networks must be
configured in the configurator project and exported on the server before the device manager can
collect.
9. Launch the console from the server or a client PC and be sure that the nodes are present on the network
and are sending data. After a node is powered on, the node might take up to one hour to appear on
the network and begin sending data. For more information on using the HP Insight Environmental
