15. Click Finish to close the configuration wizard.
Installation is complete.
If the MySQL Server file is locked by any software program, then the MySQL service stops. If MySQL Server
is configured to restart when prompted with an error message, then the file might still be locked when the
service restarts. A locked file prevents the system from logging data and does not allow users to log in to the
HP Insight Environmental Observer web interface. HP recommends configuring any software on the server to
either ignore or unlock the Observer database file before starting the system in a production environment.
Initializing the system database
1. Copy the db folder from the software CD to the local drive (C).
2. From the local drive (C), double-click the db folder.
