Solutions (EBS) Compatibility Matrix - BackUp, Recovery & Archive
How To Use This Document
HP Recommends storage platforms should always run active firmware and software versions. Systems running inactive firmware or software versionsface an
increased risk from exposure to known (and unknown) issues. If a system running inactive firmware or software encounters an issue, HP Services will work with
you to upgrade to an active version.
Additional technical information, guidelines and rules can be found in the Enterprise Backup Solution Design Guide and various Backup Application Implementation
Guides located on the web at:
For StoreEver and StoreOnce VTL backup this Matrix only shows compatibility for FC SAN media servers. A FC SAN media server is defined as a server with direct
access to backup devices. Other operating systems may be supported within EBS by the respective ISVs as LAN clients, where a LAN client does not have direct
access to the backup device but is backed up over a LAN connection to a server with direct access to backup devices.
