IMPORTANT USAGE NOTES:
1. Please consult the ISV / IHV product compatibility guide(s) for additional support details such as product version information, driver details,
firmware revisions, patch levels, etc.
2. Due to differences in support, it is highly recommended that you verify which servers and OS’s are supported
by your HBA or controller by referring to the QuickSpecs at: http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/platforms/storage.html.
3. As a best practice, storage platforms should always run active firmware and software versions. Systems running inactive firmware or software versions
face an increased risk from exposure to known (and unknown) issues. If a system running inactive firmware or software encounters an issue,
HP Services will work with you to upgrade to an active version.
4. Additional technical information, guidelines and rules can be found in the Enterprise Backup Solution Design Guide and various Backup Application
Implementation Guides located on the web at www.hp.com/go/ebs.
5. This document shows compatibility for SAN media servers. A SAN media server is defined as a server with direct access to backup devices.
Other operating systems may be supported within EBS by the respective ISVs as LAN clients, where a LAN client does not have direct access
to the backup device but is backed up over a LAN connection to a server with direct access to backup devices
6. For information on stand-alone tape products and compatibility, go to spock.corp.hp.com.
