2. Remove the end cap from the FC port A connector on the new tape drive.
CAUTION:
To avoid damaging FC cables, do not pinch or bend the cables sharper than a 5 cm (2
inch) diameter.
3. Reconnect the end of the FC c able that you disconnected from the original tape drive to the FC port
A connector on the new tape drive. The FC cable should click into place. Verify that the other end of
the FC cable is connected to its corresponding port on the SAN.

4. Connect the end of the Ethernet cable that you disconnected from the original tape drive to the
MGMT port of the new tape drive. Verify that the other end of the Ethernet cable is connected to
the internal network switch installed in the library. Do not connect the MGMT port or internal
network switch to the public or site LAN.
