4.8 Congure the library and SAN
Insert new LTO4 media if desired.
Reset the library settings
Reset the library to the factory defaults so the library will discover the
new components and forget the o ld components.
Congure the components
Use Command View TL or the Interface Manager CLI to enter the host
mapping, access control, and FC speed settings for all components.
See the HP StorageWorks Interface Manager and Command View TL
User’s Guide for detailed instructions.
Congure the SAN switch
Rezone the SAN, if n ecessary, to account for the new hardware and
paths.
Reboot the SAN FC switch if necessary .
4.9 Verify connectivity

he Fibre Channel port A LED on the new tape drive is green
when connect
ed to a sw itch and linked.
4.10 Close the doors

Close the back doors of the library.
4.11 Upgrade the drive rmware
Ensure that the tape drive has the latest rmware for correct operation.
If necessary, upgrade the drive rmware using the Command View
TL rmware upgrade wizard or the Interface Manager’s Command
Line Interface. See the HP StorageWorks Interface Ma nager and
Command View TL User’s Guide for detailed procedures on upgrading
drive rmware.
NOTE:
A new drive will not be recognized by the library until after a
reboot.
