■ Operating System Services — This function includes boot and loader
software, a command line monitor for engineering fault isolation, a serial
maintenance port driver, and other support for the product operating system.
■ Hardware Services (Edge Switch 2/16 and Edge Switch 2/32 Only) —
This function supports the application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC)
embedded on the CTP card, provides frame handling for edge switch ports,
and provides the application programming interface for light-emitting diodes
(LEDs), cooling fans, and power supplies.
