Edge Switch 2/24
The Edge Switch 2/24 provides 2.125 Gbps fabric connectivity for to up to 24
Fibre Channel devices. Figure 9 illustrates the front of the switch.
Shortwave laser transceivers are available for transferring data over multimode
fiber-optic cable. Longwave laser transceivers are available for transferring data
over single-mode fiber-optic cable. Fiber-optic cables attach to switch port
transceivers with duplex LC connectors. Green and amber status light-emitting
diodes (LEDs) are associated with each port.
