1 Configuration information
HP is continually expanding its supported hardware and operating system configurations. Check the

IMPORTANT:
This document applies to customers configuring the HP StorageWorks X5500 Network Storage
Gateway for Linux (formerly known as HP Scalable NAS Clustered Gateway) product. If you are

Hardware configuration limits
The configuration limits for hardware used in an HP X5500 Storage Gateway for Linux configuration
are as follows.

Supported HBA drivers
The Host Bus Adapter vendors frequently release HBA drivers for Linux. HP has chosen to narrow the
number of versions that it will validate with HP X5500 Storage Gateway for Linux. Other drivers will
work, but may not produce optimal results during failure or failover situations.
HP will continue to evaluate newer drivers with HP X5500 Storage Gateway for Linux as they become
available from the vendors. Check the compatibility matrix on the HP web site for the supported HBA
driver versions before upgrading to a newer driver from your HBA vendor.
