External network port numbers
The following port numbers are used for external connections to HP X5500 Storage Gateway for
Linux. If HP X5500 Storage Gateway for Linux is behind a firewall, it may be necessary to change
the firewall rules to allow traffic on these ports.

Internal network port numbers
The following network port numbers are used for internal, server-to-server communication. Should you
have HP X5500 Storage Gateway for Linux nodes firewalled from each other, you will need to
configure the firewall to allow communication on these ports. Although these port numbers should not
conflict with any registered service, they can easily be reconfigured as described under Change
configurable port numbers in the HP StorageWorks X5500 Network Storage Gateway for Linux File
