14. Install HP StorageWorks Clustered File System
ToinstallHPClusteredFileSystem, logonastheAdministratorand
completethesesteps:
1. InserttheCDintheCD‐ROM drive.Ascreenshouldcomeupwith
optionsthatallowyoutoinstallthesoftware.Ifyoudonotseethis
automaticinstallationscreen,locatethefile
MxS_3.6.1.<xxxx>.<arch>.msion
theHPStorageWorksX5500Network
StorageGatewayforWindowsCD(inthe\binfolder)orinthe
directorywhereyoudownloadedtheproduct.
2. IftheinstallationscreenappearedwhenyouinsertedtheCD,clickthe
linkthatinstallstheHPClusteredFileSystemSoftware.Bydefault,
HPClusteredFileSystemis
installedinthe%SystemDrive%\Program
Files\Hewlett‐Packard\HPClusteredFileSystemdirectory;however,
youcanspecifyanotherlocation.
NOTE: Ifaneventsuchasapowerfailurecausestheinstallationtofail,
reboottheserverusingthe“Lastknowngoodconfiguration.”
ThisoptionisavailablewhenyoupressF8duringstartup.

HPClusteredFileSystemcanalso
beinstalledusingthefollowing
WindowsInstaller command‐lineoptions:
msiexec /i MxS_3.6.1.<xxxx>.<arch>msi /qb
15. Install Hardware Snapshot Software (Optional)
Array‐basedhardwaresnapshotsaresupportedonEngeniostorage
arraysandHewlett‐PackardStorageWorksEnterpriseVirtualArray
(EVA)storagearrays.Ifyouwillbeusingthisfeature,thefollowing
softwaremustbeinstalledontheserversinthecluster.
Engenio Storage Arrays
TotakehardwaresnapshotsonEngeniostoragearrays,thelatestversion
of
SANtricityStorageManagerclientsoftwaremustbeinstalledonall
serversinthecluster.Also,the latestversionoffirmwaremustbe
installedonyourst oragearraycontrollers.Toobtainthissoftwareand
firmware,contactyourEngeniorepresentative.
