Create a Virtual CIFS Server
To create a Virtual CIFS Server, from the HP CFS Management Console
select Cluster > Add >Add Virtual CIFS Server. The Add Virtual CIFS
Server window then appears.
Address: Specify either the IP address or the DNS name that will be
associated with this Virtual CIFS Server. The DNS name must already be
configured in the DNS service.
DNS/NetBIOS name: Use this field to specify a DNS/NetBIOS name.
The NetBios name is calculated from the DNS name that you enter here. If
Dynamic DNS is enabled on the DNS server, FS Option for Windows will
add the DNS name to the DNS service. If not, you will need to update the
DNS server with the corresponding host record for the Virtual CIFS
Server IP address. The name entered in this field cannot include spaces.
Application: An “application” provides a tag to group Virtual CIFS
Servers and Virtual File Shares on the Applications tab. All of the
