HP StorageWorks Clustered File System 3.6.0 Windows Storage Server Edition Setup Guide (403102-005, January 2008)
Chapter 3: Setting Up HP StorageWorks Clustered File System 23
HP EVA Storage Arrays
To take hardware snapshots or snapclones on HP StorageWorks
Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA) storage arrays, a supported version of the
HP StorageWorks Scripting System Utility (SSSU) must be installed on all
servers in the cluster. Also, a supported version of CommandView EVA
software must be installed on your Management Appliance. Be sure that
your versions of SSSU and CommandView EVA are consistent. The SSSU
utility must be renamed to
%Program Files%\Hewlett-Packard\SANworks\Element Manager for
StorageWorks HSV\Bridge\sssu.exe. To obtain this software, contact
your HP representative.
If Microsoft Windows SP2 is not installed on your servers, you will also
need to install Microsoft Knowledge Base Hotfix 899415. The hotfix is
available at:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;899415
16. Configure the Cluster
Configuration Information
The cluster is configured from the HP Management Console. You will be
asked for the following information:
• The IP address or hostname of each server that will be in the cluster.
• The location of your HP Clustered File System license file.
• A secret network key that provides security for network
communications among the cluster servers.
• The fencing method that you want to use (either FibreChannel switch-
based fencing or Web Management-based fencing via server reset/
shutdown).
• The IP address or hostname of each FibreChannel switch that is
included in the SAN. (This step is required for FibreChannel switch-
based fencing and optional for Web Management-based fencing via
server reset/shutdown.)
• The partitions or LUNs that you want to use for membership
partitions.
