Supported HBA Drivers
Before you install HP Clustered File System, we recommend that you
install a supported HBA driver on the servers that will be in the cluster.
See the HP Clustered File System QuickSpecs for the supported drivers.
If you do not install one of these drivers, the operating system will select
the default driver, which has not been validated with HP Clustered File
System.
Do not install the Emulex driver provided on the Windows CD, as it
supports only arbitrated loop mode. Instead, you can download the
appropriate driver from the Emulex Web site.
Server Requirements
The minimum requirements for cluster servers are as follows (see the HP
Clustered File System QuickSpecs on the HP web site for more specifics):
A supported HP ProLiant server architecture (only HP ProLiant
servers are supported):
32-bit Intel- or AMD-based servers (single processor or
multiprocessor) running a supported operating system.

Configuration Limit
Servers Two to 16 servers.
Network Interface Cards
(any card supported by

Up to four network interfaces per server.
FibreChannel Host Bus
Adapters
One FC port per server can be connected
to the cluster SAN (four FC ports are
supported with a third-party multipath

Two levels of cascading switches.

Subsystems
Up to 256 LUNs for FC fabric
configurations; on iSCSI, the maximum
number of connections for the iSCSI
initiator.
