Install FS Option for Windows

This chapter describes how to perform new installations of the FS Option

for Windows.

NOTE: Be sure to install a product version that corresponds to your

operating system. Install the 32-bit version of the software on the

32-bit operating system, and install the 64-bit version of the

software on the 64-bit operating system.

Install FS Option for Windows

Prerequisites

FS Option for Windows is supported only on the 64-bit versions of the

following operating systems:

• Windows Server 2003 SP1 Standard or Enterprise Edition

• Windows Server 2003 SP2 Standard or Enterprise Edition

• Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard or Enterprise Edition

Before installing the FS Option for Windows, you will need to install HP

StorageWorks Clustered File System on each node in the cluster.

Installation Procedure

FS Option for Windowsmust be installed on each server in the cluster that

will be providing file shares. To install the product, insert the product CD

into the CD drive or go to the location where you have downloaded the

software. Then double-click the file MxFS_3.6.0.<xxxx>.msi to run the

Installation Wizard.
