Install FS Option

After Clustered File System has been installed, you can install the HP

Clustered File System FS Option for Linux (FS Option). This chapter

describes how to install the FS Option. This product is supported only on

SLES9.

Install FS Option

Before FS Option is installed, you will need to rebuild the kernel as

described in Appendix B. After the kernel is rebuilt and Clustered File

System is installed, you can install FS Option.

To install FS Option, complete the following steps. You will need to install

the software on each server in the cluster.

1. Stop Clustered File System on the node:

# /etc/init.d/pmxs stop

2. Install the FS Option support RPM from the product CD or the

location where you have downloaded the software.

# rpm -i <mountpoint>/<os>/<wordsize>/mxfs-support-3.1.x-

<xxxx>.<arch>.rpm

3. Install FS Option from the product CD or the location where you have

downloaded the software.

# rpm -i <mountpoint>/<os>/<wordsize>/mxfs-3.1.x-

<xxxx>.<arch>.rpm

4. Restart Clustered File System on the node:
