Configuration Best Practices
HP Clustered File System is supported on HP ProLiant Servers. The
recommended and supported configurations can be found in the
QuickSpec documents for HP Clustered File System on the HP web site:
http://www.hp.com/go/nas
When using HP Clustered File System on ProLiant Server, follow the best
practices and caveats described in this chapter for optimum results.
Power Saving Settings
Some Operton as well as Intel processors may experience performance
problems due to chip power saving settings. It is critical that the power
saving settings (powersaved) be set as described in the link below:
www.hp.com/support/linux/powernow.
PSP (ProLiant Service Pack)
ProLiant Servers come with a ProLiant Service Pack CD. HP recommends
that some (but not all) components of the Linux PSP be installed for use
with HP Clustered File System. Note that the PSP version number at the
time of this chapter was 7.4. Future versions may have different
components.
