About this guide
1 Initial cluster configuration The HP StorageWorks 4400 Scalable NAS system is shipped with the cluster already configured. Networks HP Clustered File System uses a local network for its administrative traffic. This network has been configured with IP addresses in the 172.31.0.n network using VLAN #1 on the ProCurve 2824 network switch. VLAN #1 includes the first eight ports on the switch. This private network must not be connected to your network.
5. Create the new filesystem with the appropriate options such as block size and disk quotas. See “Configure PSFS Filesystems” in the HP Clustered File System administration guide. 6. On Windows systems, associate the filesystem with a drive letter or mount path, which provides access to the filesystem. On Linux systems, mount the filesystem with the appropriate mount options. See “Configure PSFS Filesystems” in the HP Clustered File System administration guide.
System requirements for the stand-alone console Systems used for the stand-alone HP CFS Management Console must meet the following requirements: • Pentium-compatible processor or later • 64 MB of memory • Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows 2003 Install and start the stand-alone console Copy the console file (either MXCONSOLE.MSI or mxconsole-3.5.1-414.msi to the system and then double-click on the file to install the console software.
