HP Clustered FileSystem3.6.1 for Windows release notes (T4422-96003, September 2008)

• Defect 19672. After the Conﬁgure Cluster GUI was opened, the “Starting

Conﬁguration Utility” status popup also remained open.

• Defect 19659. A dynam ic volume was inaccessible after a cluster transition

occurred while the volume was being deported.

• Defect 19704. Some non-cached ﬁle extending writes could result in an

inconsistent internal state and cause a panic.

• Defect 19716. An invalid attempt to release a resource caused a kernel fault.

• Defect 19756. Alerts in HP Clustered File System 3.4 and 3.6 are incompatible;

however, during a rolling upgrade the alerts were logged on a ll nodes. Now,

3.4 alerts are logged only on nodes running 3.4 and 3.6 alerts are logged

only on nodes running 3.6.

• Defect 19801. The usage statements for the psfssuspend and psfsresume

commands indicated that a drive letter was required.

• Defect 20036. Ofﬂine membership partition operations did not work in certain

situations.

• Defect 20192. The HP Managem ent Console did not allow a 1GB LUN to be

used for a membership partition.

• Defect 20286. The mxds process terminated on a node, causing HP Clustered

File System to stop on that node .

• Defect 20321. TheSANPulseprocess terminated while a snapshot wasbeing

created.

• Defect 20500. The PSFS ﬁlesystem did not grant FILE_ADD_SUBDIRECTORY

access properly to privileged callers.

• Defect 20501. The PSFS ﬁlesystem did not check directory access correctly

during some rename operations.

• Defect 20811. The mxtrap.mib ﬁle prov ided with HP Clustered File System did

not

compile cleanly with the HP Systems Insight Manager (SIM).

• Defect 20968. The message event text for events 4512 and 4516 incorrectly

attempted to interpret a value as a system error number a nd the text contained

error information that was not appropriate for the event.

• D e f e c t 21111. U I c o m m a n d s r a n f o r e v e r i n t h e b a c k g r o u n d i f t h e c l u s t e r s e c r e t

was inadvertently changed while HP Clustered File System was running. The

commands

will now complete in error if the cluster secret is changed while the

product is running.

• Defect 21191. The SCLD process failed when a particular timeout occurred.
