• Support for HP MSA 2xxx arrays.
• Installation of the Micr osoft SNMP service is no longer required to enable HP
Clustered File System SNMP traps. It is still required to enable the HP Clustered
File System extension agent.
New features in FS Option for Windows
This release includes the following new FS Option for Windows features:
• Role-based securit y. Using the role-based security feature provided with Matrix
Server, you can
create aroletomanageVirtual CIFS Servers, VirtualFileShares,
and Cluster File Shares.
• Support for offline caching, which allows users to cache files and programs from
Virtual File S
hares or Cluster File Shares to their local machines.
Fixes in 3.6.1
The3.6.1 releaseincludes fixes for the following issues:
• Defect 14031. A server rebooted continuously after recovering a device.
• D e f e c t 15618 . C e r t a i n file extending writes could result in an Access Violation.
• Defect 17591. In the 3.6.0 release, the mx server markdown command
failed if the user running the command did not belong to the machine local
administrators group. The com mand now completes successfully for users
authorized for updates at the cluster level.
• Defect 18750. An attempt to s uspend a filesystem while a heavy workload was
running on it could hang indefinitely.
• Defect 19248. When View Alerts was selected for a Virtual SQL Instance, the
resulting dialog was empty.
• Defect 19406. The PSFS filesystem did not report a filesystem eviction when
SanPulse failed to join the cluster and instead incorrectly reported that the
filesystem was mounted.
• Defect 19414. A small race condition in grpcommd could potentially cause
a
server to be fenced.
• Defect 19417. After changing the maximum number of events to display on the
Event Viewer, it was necessary to click Refresh to update the Viewer.
• Defect 19423. The mx server add command did not report an error when the
command was invoked without specifying a server.
• Defect 19431. When the FibreChannel button was already enabled on the San
&
Fencing tab of the Configure Cluster window, clicking the button incorrectly
opened the Web Management Configuration dialog.
• Defect 19578. A Java exception occurred when the connection to the HP
Management Console was closed while a Filesystem Properties dialog was
still
open.
