If the output includes any “Host ID” entries, you will need to clear the entries from
the
host registry as described below. If there are no “Host ID” entries in the output,
you do not need to take any action.
To clear the host registry, complete these steps:
1. Save the exi sting membership partition data:
mpdump -F
2. Recreate the membership partitions. This command clears the HP Clustered
File System host registry and then recreates the membership partitions using
the
data saved in step 1.
mpimport -M -F
File Server Re
source Manager cannot be used
TheFileServe
r
Resource Manager provided with Windows 2003 R2 is not
compatible w
ith PSFS volumes and c annot be used to manage them.
Add or Remove Programs appears to hang
On startup, Add or Remove Programs enumerates the contents of all top-level
directories of m ounted volumes. When the root or top-level directories on PSFS
lesystems contain large numbers of les, Add or Remove Programs appears to
hang
during this step.
Workaround. Do not overpopulate the ro ot directory and the top-level directories
of
PSFS lesystemswith large numbersof les. Instead, place the les in
subdirectories.
Filesystem is not recreated with previous options
The Recreate Filesystem window on the HP Management Console c ontains an
Options button. If you recreate a lesystem and do not open the Options dialog,
the
lesystem will be recreated with the default options instead of the options that
were set when the lesystem was originally created.
Workaround. When you recreate a lesystem, open and then close the Options
dialog before clicking OK on the Recreate Filesystem Window. The lesystem will
then be
recreated with its original options.
