HP Designjet ePrint & Share - Support guide

When I try to send an email message to my ePrinter they are always discarded and HP
ePrintCenter reports “ePrint is disabled for this printer”.
This error occurs when your ePrinter does not have the latest firmware installed. To install the latest
firmware, go to the ePrinter's touchscreen and select: Information -> EPrinter icon -> Firmware Update
-> Check Now. This will update the ePrinter to the latest firmware and resolve the issue.
Why can’t I add my PostScript ePrinter to HP Designjet ePrint & Share?
The HP Designjet ePrint & Share solution is not supported by a PostScript ePrinter driver. Users with a
HP Designjet PostScript ePrinter need to install the HP-GL/2 full feature solution to be able to use the
HP Designjet ePrint & Share software and its associated features.
How can I change my ePrinter’s email address?
It is possible to change the ePrinter email address to a personalized one of your choosing.
Register your ePrinter on the HP ePrintCenter/HP Connected* if you haven’t already done so.
Log into the HP ePrintCenter and, select the “Printers” tab. In HP Connected select the
“Devices” tab.
Click the “Change” button and type a desired new email address. If the new address is available,
it will be changed; otherwise the user will be prompted to type a different one.
After successfully changing the email address, you can choose between leaving the ePrinter unlocked
(anyone can send ePrint jobs to this ePrinter) or locked (only allowed senders can send ePrint jobs to
this ePrinter). An icon of a lock will indicate if the ePrinter is locked/unlocked. This setting can be
changed at any time. (See Figure 1)
* HP ePrintCenter/HP Connected requires creating a new user account as it is a separate service from HP
Designjet ePrint & Share (we strongly recommend using the same login and password from the HP
Designjet ePrint & Share website when creating the account at HP ePrintCenter/HP Connected).
