Configuring the new chassis serial number
To configure a new chassis serial number:
1. Open a CLI session (Telnet or serial) to the DC04 SAN Director and log in as root.
The root and factory account disclaimer is displayed.
Log in using Telnet.
Use the IP address of the DC04 SAN Director through Telnet and log in as root.

that are intended for diagnostics and debugging purposes solely by
the Equipment vendor's trained engineers. Improper use of the

2. Change the factory serial number to the serial number of the new chassis.
a. Enter the fruInfoSet chassis 1 command at the prompt.
b. Enter the OEM serial number, if any, at the SN prompt.
c. Enter the chassis serial number at the Chassis SN: prompt.
d. Verify that the command displays the correct serial numbers.
