 Select the MaxDB Data volumes on the application server to be backed up. These data volumes will
be made consistent, then split, and subsequently mounted on the backup server for backup.
 Click Next.
Determining MaxDB volumes for backup
Make sure you sel
ect the correct MaxDB data volumes. You can obtain the MaxDB volumes either via
MaxDB’s GUI or dbmcli.
MaxDB GUI
After logging in to the MaxDB Database Manager or MaxDB GUI, highlight your MaxDB database
instance, click Information in the left hand pane, and finally click Data Area to list the MaxDB
data volumes, as highlighted below:
