You can back up the following VMware object:

Virtual machines

Virtual machine disks

Virtual machine templates

However, you can make your selections at different levels:

ESX/ESXi servers

Pools

vApps

VM folders

Individual VMs

VM disks

VM templates

Note that we do not support backup of the vApps configuration itself.

If you select any level above individual virtual machines (for example, a VM folder) all virtual

machines and virtual machine disks contained in the selected item will be included in the

backup specification. If a virtual machine is added within the item after the backup

specification is saved, it will also be backed up when the specification is run. If a virtual
