Open Source
Currently, the SNIA has 2 different open source packages available. The SNIA license
agreement must be accepted in order to download any SNIA open source code.
A source package that is available is the Java based implementation of a Common
Information Model Object Manager (CIM OM). The SNIA implementation provides both
client and server CIM/WBEM technologies. (See the SNIA CIM web page for the DMTF
website for more information about CIM, CIM OM, and WBEM) Using Java as the
implementation language ensures the largest possible audience for this technology and
allows vendors to adopt this technology without the need for porting or long running test and
integration periods. The first version of this source was available in June of 2000 and was
last updated in August of 2000.
There are two source packages that are available for the C based implementation of the
SNIA HBA APIs.
This page contains the SNIA license agreement. It must be accepted in order to download
any SNIA open source code.
