MaxDB-ZDB data volume backup specification

This section explains how to configure a MaxDB-ZDB backup specification.

 In the HP Data Protector Manager, switch to the Backup context.

 On the Scoping pane, expand Backup and then Backup Specifications. Right-click

Filesystem and then click Add Backup.

 In the Create New Backup dialog box, accept the default filesystem template Blank

Filesystem Backup. For the Backup type, select Snapshot backup. For the Sub type,

select HP StorageWorks EVA SMI-S, as shown below.

 Click OK.

 Choo

se your MaxDB’s Application system as well as Backup system from the drop-down menu.

For Snapshot management options, select the desired Snapshot type (such as Standard

snapshot) and Snapshot policy (such as Strict), as shown below.
