Under Targets, select your target volume and click Log On.
Check the Automatically restore this connection ... box and Enable multi-path (if Multi-path software
is installed).
Figure 14, shows the iSCSI Initiator properties for a volume presented to a host.

Perform all the previous steps on both application and backup servers.
Once the volumes are visible to the application server, you can initialize and format them (only on
the application server).
In Figure 15, the Windows Disk Management running on Windows 2008 shows the volume list on
the backup server. Disks 1 to Disk 4 are the application volumes on the Exchange backup server.
On a Windows 2003 system, consider using the utility mountvol.exe to make the volume not
mountable.
Important: The volume presented to the backup server should always remain Offline.
