component on a vCenter Server system or ESX(i) Server system
Backup sessions start to fail after you have added or updated a Data Protector component on a
vCenter Server system or ESX(i) Server system (that has been imported to the Data Protector cell as
VMware ESX(i) or VMware vCenter). An error similar to the following is displayed:
[Critical] From: VEPA_BAR@vmw37242.company.com "" Time: 10/28/2010
1:14:05 PM Could not find the connection information for host.
Action
Re-import the vCenter Server/ESX Server system to the Data Protector cell and restart the backup
sessions.
Problem
Datacenters and virtual machines are not listed
When creating a backup specification, there are no datacenters and virtual machines displayed in
the Source page of the Data Protector GUI.
This may happen if the user account that you specified for the selected vCenter Server or ESX(i)
Server system does not have appropriate permissions.
Action
Ensure the specified user has appropriate permissions. For details, see Importing VMware clients
into the Data Protector cell.
Problem
