HP Data Protector A.06.11 localization to Simplified Chinese
7
When adding a client with the Chinese documentation & Help component, the session is
completed with errors:
Critical: <computer.company.com>: Feature Chinese Documentation &
Help cannot be installed.
Reason: The files cell_format and omni_format are updated, but the Installation server
depot is not updated.
Action
None. These messages are not relevant. The components are correctly installed.
Problem
When uninstalling the documentation (CHS_LS) patch, using the remove_patch.bat utility, the
files installed by the Chinese Documentation & Help component are not uninstalled.
Action
Manually remove the left over files.
Windows systems:
all files in <Data_Protector_home>\Docs\chs
all files in <Data_Protector_home>\help\chs
UNIX systems:
all files in /opt/omni/doc/zh-cn
all files in /opt/omni/help/zh-cn
Problem
When adding IDB extension files, if you specify a path with non-ASCII characters (in this case,
Simplified Chinese characters), the operation will fail.
Action
Do not use non-ASCII characters for the names of directories where the IDB extension files will be
located. This is a general Data Protector limitation and not limited to Simplified Chinese
characters.
Problem
Chinese characters are not correctly displayed.
Action
Check you locale settings. See Verifying the settings.
On Windows, ensure also that the SimSun and NSimSun fonts are installed on your system.
