Troubleshooting

Checks and verifications
If you encounter issues during the installation or, if Data Protector does not start in the Simplified
Chinese language, verify your installation first.
1. Verify that message catalogs are installed:
Windows systems
: <Data_Protector_hom e>\bin\OmniChs.dll
HP-UX and Linux systems
: /opt/omni/lib/nls/zh_CN.gb18030/omni.cat
Solaris systems: /opt/omni/lib/nls/zh_CN.GB18030/omni.cat
2. Verify that the Simplified Chinese documentation and online Help are installed. Check for files
in the following folders:
Windows systems

Recognized issues and workarounds
Problem
After installing the patches, some issues may appear:
When you install the CORE patch, the CHS_LS component in the GUI is not properly displayed.
Reason: The file omni_format, which is part of the CORE patch, is already updated.
