Now you are ready to start the restore process of a failed database.
In cases where devices to be used for a restore are configured as multi-path devices, Data Protector
starts the restore of data to the server (over the SAN) where the failed database is located. This
prevents the restored data going over the LAN.

Microsoft Hyper-V R2 backup
The backup of Microsoft Hyper-V is done through the Microsoft VSS framework. In Data Protector 6.2,
a special integration for backup of virtual machines running on Microsoft Hyper-V has been
developed. It is highly recommended to use this integration for backup of virtual machines. To be able
to perform backup of virtual machines, Microsoft Hyper-V VSS Writer must be available on all servers
that are part of the Hyper-V cluster. To check the availability and the status of Hyper-V writer, execute
following command:
