8. The previous step will create a directory by name “HP” in the path you extracted it (e.g.
/tmp/HP).
9. Give execute permission to the below listed files.
a. HP/install
b. HP/lin/x86/dplingil
c. HP/lin/x86/dplingin
d. HP/lin/x86_64/dplingil
e. HP/lin/x86_64/dplingin
10. Go to the “HP” folder and type ./install and press the Enter key to launch the installer.
11. Select “upgrade existing installation” and continue. This will apply the patch to the existing
installation of DPX 6.0.
Verification on Linux
After the installation, start the DPX administrator GUI and go to Help  About. The version displayed
now should be Data Protector Express Version 6.0.01 build 13958.
