6 Troubleshooting
Problem
The system boots from the QR USB flash drive, but fails after the “hit R to restore” prompt with the
following error.
Solution:
The QR USB stick should be the only USB storage device attached to the appliance. Ensure that
there are no other USB sticks attached and remove any integrated KVM devices which may be
presenting storage devices to the appliance.
Problem:
I am converting a StoreOnce D2D4312 or D2D4324 Backup system, installation has failed with
the following message:
Solution:
There are several possible reasons for this issue, however, the most likely reason on these products
is that the internal SAS RAID cabling is incorrect and, therefore, disks are enumerated in the wrong
order. This may have happened if a RAID controller or motherboard change has occurred in the
past. Check the cabling against the correct configuration below and re-configure if required.
