HP StoreOnce B6200 Maintenance and Service Guide (February, 2014)
1 Introduction
This is the Service and Maintenance Guide for the HP StoreOnce B6200 Backup System. This
product uses existing HP hardware components, which have their own documentation. This guide
describes only those aspects that are specific to the HP StoreOnce B6200 Backup System. The HP
StoreOnce B6200 Backup system comes as standard in a factory fitted rack. This document assumes
that the B6200 has not been re-racked in any way. Should this have occurred, the numbering of
shelf positions may not be the same.
NOTE: The HP StoreOnce 2xxx and 4xxxBackup Systems are rack-mounted models and use a
different system architecture; they have a different service and maintenance model and are not
described in this guide.
The HP StoreOnce B6200 Backup System
The HP B6200 Backup System consists of:
• One or two HP B6000 Rack Assemblies with stabilizers and internal network switches
• Up to two couplets may be installed in each rack. (A base couplet consists of two server nodes
and two 12-disk array controllers, one for each node.)
• Any additional 12-disk storage shelves that have been purchased (up to three pairs of storage
shelves may be installed per couplet)
