These two items are hot-swappable. Order the correct replacement part and follow the instructions
in the P2000 guides.
IMPORTANT: If changing a power supply, care must be taken to ensure that there is no interference
with any of the PDUs and power cabling.
Replacement process
Any service activity that requires SAS cabling to be disconnected in either the P2000 controller or
the P2000 JBOD requires the couplet to be offline. This is because each node is cabled to both
P2000 controllers to enable autonomic failover and it is impossible to isolate one node when
carrying out maintenance tasks; one of the data paths will be lost.

See Putting a couplet into maintenance mode (page 21).Put the couplet into offline mode.
See the appropriate P2000 documentation.Remove the cables from the unit and
slide it out from the rack. Carry out the
required maintenance activity.
See Updating P2000 firmware revisions (page 33).Replace the unit and connect power
to it. Then connect to the serial port
on the P2000 controller or JBOD shelf
to ensure that it is running the correct
firmware revision.
See P2000 controller and JBOD cabling (page 34)Reconnect cables from the replaced
unit to the server nodes (and any
JBODs).
See Power on (page 46)Power on the couplet and enable
failover.
