2 Prerequisites for the OpenStorage (OST) plug-in
This section describes prerequisites for the media server that should be considered before installing
the HP OpenStorage (OST) plug-in.
• Operating Systems
SUSE10.x (64-bit)◦

◦ RHEL5.x (64-bit)
◦ RHEL6.x (64-bit)
• NetBackup Versions
The HP OST plug-in works with the following versions of NetBackup: 7.1 and 7.5
NOTE: In this document, all NetBackup paths assume that the backup application is installed
on the /usr/openv drive.
All OST paths assume that /usr/openv drive is the Netbackup installation path.
