Description of Command Function
Provides access to the HP support authority level.
Command Syntax
hpsupport <hp-password>
Command Authority
Administrator
Command Object Requirements
Not applicable – no objects exist within this command entry.
Command Parameter Requirements
hp-password – A string with the HP password must appear after hpsupport in the command
entry. The HP password is controlled by the HP service organization.
Requirements for Command Execution
The command entry must conform to command syntax.
Successful Command Output
Upon successful completion of the command, the user is transferred to an HP support account.
Command Operation during Abnormal Conditions
If the command does not conform to the required syntax the following is displayed:
Command Failed - the command does not conform to the required syntax,
SYNTAX, where SYNTAX is the command syntax as described under Command Syntax in this
section.

(The $> command prompt indicates the user account has HP support authorization privilege.)
