Description of Command Function
Modifies CIFS server configuration.
Command Syntax
cifs modify config [SETX] [servername <name>] [workgroup <name>]
[auth {None|User|AD domain <name>}] [smbSigning {Required|Optional}]
NOTE: Note the following when using the cifs modify config CLI command:
The smbSigning parameter is not valid in v3.11.0 of the CLI command set.
Because the functionality of the servername and workgroup parameters are disabled,
these parameters should not be used within scripts.
After changing authentication mode to AD, the cifs enable domainjoin command must
be run in order to join the domain.

Command Object Requirements
SETX This object defines the service set where the NAS share is to be created. X is the service
set numeric index. This object is required for a multi-node system and optional for a single-node
system. If it is omitted for a single-node system, it defaults to SET1. If the object is specified (either
for a multi-node or single-node system), it must be specified in the exact position as given by the
command syntax (i.e., it must immediately follow the config command).
Command Parameter Requirements
servername This optional parameter specifies the CIFS server name.
workgroup This optional parameter specifies the CIFS server workgroup name.
auth This optional parameter specifies the CIFS server authentication type (None, User or
Active Directory specifying the an AD domain name).
smbSigning This optional parameter specifies CIFS server SMB signing (Required or Optional).
Requirements for Command Execution
The command entry must conform to command syntax.
The service set SETX object must be valid.
Successful Command Output
Upon successful completion of the command, the following message is displayed, and then the
CLI returns to the user prompt:

Command Operation during Abnormal Conditions
If command execution fails, the following message is displayed, followed by a detailed error
message, and then the CLI user prompt is displayed:
