interface is not iSCSI, defining this parameter generates an error. The value is a text string
with a maximum of 17 characters. If not defined, the CHAP protocol is not supported.
• WWPN – This optional parameter defines the worldwide port name if the virtual drive uses
Fibre Channel ports. If the virtual drive interface is not Fibre Channel, defining this generates
an error. The value must be a worldwide port name. If not defined, an algorithm is used to
automatically create a unique identifier.
• WWN – This optional parameter defines the worldwide node name of the drive if the virtual
drive uses Fibre Channel ports. If the virtual drive does not use Fibre Channel, defining this
generates an error. The value must be a valid worldwide name. If not defined, an algorithm
is used to automatically create a unique identifier.
Requirements for Command Execution
• The command entry must conform to command syntax.
• All object values must be valid. See object requirements for details.
• All parameter values must be valid. See parameter requirements for details.
• The command entry must conform to command syntax.

• The drive emulation type must be valid.
• The drive ports must be valid.
• If the interface is iSCSI, an iSCSIName must be defined.
• iSCSIName must be within maximum lengths.

• WorldWide Node Name must be valid.
• WorldWide Port Name must be valid.

• If any of the command execution requirements fail, command execution terminates, the drive
object is not added to the library and one of these error messages is displayed:
