system set clusterid
Description of Command Function
This command sets the cluster ID on the StoreOnce Backup system. Note that the cluster ID is a
global identifier which uniquely identifies the StoreOnce Backup system. The cluster ID is normally
automatically generated during initialization of the StoreOnce Backup system. The cluster ID must
conform to a specific format and be different from the cluster ID of any other StoreOnce Backup
system. The value entered for the cluster ID should have been generated previously by a StoreOnce
Backup system during initialization. This original system must be known to no longer exist.

system set clusterid <clusterid>

Command Object Requirements
Not applicable – no objects exist within this command.
Command Parameter Requirements
ClusterId – This parameter is value of the cluster ID which is assigned to the StoreOnce system.
Requirements for Command Execution
• The command entry must conform to command syntax.
• The cluster ID must conform to parameter requirements.
• This command is intended to be used only after replacing physical hardware when cloning
previous configuration settings.
• This command cannot be used on a StoreOnce system that has storage configured and is
likely only used after a system is quick restored.
Successful Command Output
Upon successful completion of the command, the following message is displayed

Command Operation during Abnormal Conditions
If any of the above command execution requirements fail, command execution terminates, the
cartridge information is not displayed, and the appropriate error message listed below is displayed.
• Command Failed – Did not conform to the correct command syntax
“system set clustered <ClusterId>”
• Command Failed – The cluster id is invalid obtain a valid cluster
id.
