HP StoreOnce B6200 Maintenance and Service Guide (February, 2014)

2. Use the GUI Home page to ensure that the failing node is idle; no Service Sets are running
on the node that is to be repaired.
If it is not idle, stop all backups, restore and replication jobs. Use the StoreOnce CLI command
to put the node offline.
hardware enable failover
hardware failover nodeX
3. Power off the node (checking that the power button is showing orange):
hardware poweroff nodeX
Making a node active again
Once maintenance activities are completed and firmware revisions are synchronized:
hardware poweron nodeX
hardware failback nodeX
hardware enable failover
Running failback from the GUI
Failback can also be invoked manually from the Failback This Server button on the appropriate
Hardware page of the GUI.
Putting a couplet into maintenance mode
If the couplet is the only couplet in the cluster, the system may be powered down before carrying
out maintenance tasks that affect the P2000 Controllers or JBODs. Use the StoreOnce CLI command:
system shutdown
If there are multiple couplets, do not power down the system. Power down both nodes of the
affected couplet, as described in Putting a node into maintenance mode (page 20) by running the
StoreOnce CLI command twice, where X identifies the node:
hardware poweroff nodeX
