Hardware installation

Software requirements
1. Refer to http://www.hp.com/go/ebs to find out which versions of UNIX and Linux are
supported and which backup applications are supported.
2. Make sure that your operating system is patched with the latest service packs.
3. Upgrade your backup application to the latest version.
Configuration requirements
Configuration requirements are specific to each HP StoreOnce Backup System. The HP StoreOnce
B6200 Backup System (also referred to as the multi-node product) is installed and configured
initially by HP Support engineers. For the single node products, HP StoreOnce 2620, 42xx and
44xx Backup systems, please refer to the HP StoreOnce Backup System Installation and
Configuration guide for instructions on network configuration and getting started. This guide
describes how to configure the HP StoreOnce Backup System for use with specific Linux and UNIX
operating systems.
